Just as abundant grains and benevolent wild yeasts provided ancient brewers with a reason to settle down and brew, so have the natural attributes of Pennsylvania caused us, the collective brewers of the Pennsylvania Microbrewers Guild, to call this state home. Most of us have lived here many years. Some of are new. Together we share a common goal: To brew for you the freshest, most flavorful beers possible, right here in Pennsylvania.
To accomplish this, we observe a few simple rules. First off, we use only the highest quality ingredients in our brewing procedures. Avoiding processed malt extract and cereal adjuncts in excess of 10%, we choose to perform the laborious conversion of the natural grains under our own supervision, in our own breweries. Having our own breweries, we are able to craft each of our beers with our own hands, unlike contract brewers who allow large breweries to produce their beer. By taking these honest steps, we create superior beers that we are confident you'll enjoy.
