Founded February 1996, “Born and Brewed in PA” – Troegs is a Harrisburg based brewery founded by brothers John and Chris Trogner. After attending brewing schools in England, Chicago, and an apprenticeship in Boulder, CO the two brothers returned home to Harrisburg to open their 10,000 bbl brewery near the state’s capital.
All of Troegs beers exhibit a combination of the brothers brewing influences from the West Coast and England. Troegs year round beers include an ESB (extra special bitter), Pale Ale, Nut Brown, and Bavarian Lager. Draft only seasonals are offered in the summer, Troegs Summer Beer and a chewy Winter Oatmeal Stout. All of Troegs beers are brewed and bottled at the brewery in Harrisburg and distributed throughout PA and Northern VA. The brewery offers tours every Sat. at 12 & 2 pm.
